This morning, the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board (IELRB) publicly posted the latest offers made as of Friday, October 3, 2025, in the contract negotiations between the Board of Education of Frankfort CUSD #168 and American Federation of Teachers Local #817, IFT-AFT, AFL-CIO, along with the costs of each offer and the rationale behind them. This posting is to fulfill the requirements of the Illinois Education Labor Relations Act found at 115 ILCS 5/12 and directs everyone to https://elrb.illinois.gov/public-posting---offers-/2025-public-posting---offers.html or to the District’s website at https://www.wfschools.org/. At the District’s website, there will be a button titled “Posting – Negotiation Docs,” where you will see the original, full-color postings from the District and the Union as submitted to IELRB as well as the District’s corrected document that was updated today.
We encourage every member of our community to read and review these documents to get all of the information to bring everyone up to date on the status of the contract negotiations between the two groups. Since the postings were submitted as required last Friday, October 3, 2025, the two sides have held another negotiation session and have another one scheduled for next week as they continue to bring updated proposals and work at the bargaining table for a fair agreement that serves our students and community by keeping all of our faculty and staff employed and while keeping District #168 on a firm financial footing in the continuing and unpredictable financial times ahead.
