PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Education of Frankfort CUSD #168 in Franklin and Williamson Counties, Illinois, will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, August 9, 2021, at 5:50 p.m. at the Frankfort Intermediate School Library located at 800 North Cherry Street in West Frankfort, Illinois, for the purpose of receiving testimony on the District’s proposed application for a Waiver of the Illinois School Code found at 105 ILCS 5/17-1.5 which limits administrative costs to a maximum of 105% of the previous fiscal year’s expenditure. For Fiscal Year 2021, the District proposes an increase of 115% of the previous year’s expenditure. This expenditure increase is due to the additional budget costs due to increased requirements for meetings, notifications, and other paperwork in the area of special education that resulted in the need for additional positions including coordinator and administrative assistant.
Following the Hearing, the Board will convene a Special Meeting at approximately 6:00 p.m.
