We cannot say enough thanks to Jennifer and Valerie Reed. These two ladies came in to CJHS last month to talk to the Community Service class about the work they do with Wani's Warriors. While they were there, our students explained to them their projects they were working on in class, one of which is to have an event to raise funds for a new volleyball net for our playground. Today these wonderful ladies brought in a check for $700 that they raised at their bake sale, and donated it to the kids' project!
This is truly a perfect vision of leading by example. The students learned today the value of community service for others, but they also saw the joy that comes from giving something back! Jennifer and Valerie - thank you so much for the monetary gift, but much more for the lesson you taught these kids today!
Congratulations on a job well done goes to the students of the FCHS Music Department pictured below, who presented their Christmas Concert Wednesday evening. They worked through unforeseen circumstances and, with the help of Mr. Bert Johnson, Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson, Mr. Danny Wilson, and Mr. Jeremy Followell, presented an entertaining evening of music.
