Thanks to some additional sharp-eyed proofreaders, there is an August 12 update to the Parent-Student Handbook that is now posted on the District's websites. There were no policy changes, just some clean up of some grammar and wording. Thanks for those who have read and assisted us in this project.

All school buses should now be on their way home as it was a little slow going on this first day of school. Bus and car traffic should smooth out the next few days as everyone gets used to the new routine and we work to keep traffic moving on the side streets around the schools. Please remember to not leave our cars unattended in the loading zones. We will see you all tomorrow.

As we prepare to welcome teachers on Monday and students on Tuesday morning, we thank the West Frankfort Street Department for helping to keep our students safe by touching up the paint on crosswalks leading to our schools. A Message from Frankfort CUSD #168 to let everyone know that we DO plan to hold school tomorrow, Monday, April 7. Please be careful on the way to school in the morning around areas that are flooded. School buses will run in most areas. For bus riders around Ruembler Crossing Road and around flooded sections of Old Johnston City Road – the bus garage will call you to let you know about potential alternate pick-up locations as we navigate around closed sections. Please be safe as we will have classes at DES, FIS, CJHS, & FCHS..
