Position: (3 Hour) Cook at FCHS (Griggs Vacancy)
Qualifications: Candidate must possess knowledge of public health requirements for preparing foods in a school cafeteria for school breakfast and lunch, skill to maintain records needed for reports, and ability to work effectively with staff, building administrators, and students. Must possess or willing to obtain an Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate.
Duties: Prepare breakfast and lunch, clean cafeteria and utensils, prepare area for next meal, clean and secure area over vacation times.
Salary: As Per Contract
Reports To: Building Principal, Food Service Supervisor, and Head Cook
Start Date: December 15th 2022

On Veteran's Day November 11th the Military Museum is having a ceremony at 11am. The military museum is by the tracks in town. Please come out and support the museum along with the veterans that are caretakers of it as well.
We just want to take a moment to thank the West Frankfort High School administration and staff today. We had a situation at the HS today and it was handled safely and swiftly. We would also like to give a shoutout to the West Frankfort PD for their quick assistance. Thank you to all involved for continually doing all you do to keep our students safe.
We will not have a meet the team night for boys HS basketball this year. Thank you!

Statement on Trespass Incident at Frankfort Community High School
Late this morning, a person known to school officials trespassed on the property of Frankfort Community High School. The Student Resource Officer and other members of the West Frankfort Police Department responded and the person was removed from the school. He is currently in the custody of the WFPD. Students and staff remain safe at this time and the school will continue regular operations through the rest of the day. The public is reminded that visitors must report to the front door of our schools and state their business before being considered for entry.
