We had a lot of Coach O look-alikes today at CJHS for Teacher and Student swap day, and it was a great day for our staff to dress like students in the heat!

CJHS Country vs Country Club Day!
Tomorrow is a District-Wide Pep Rally and we will be having CJHS students walk to the football field. Please make sure your student is wearing comfortable shoes and clothes that are weather appropriate (supposed to be warm tomorrow). We will be on a normal schedule, so normal dismissal procedures are still in place. We will not allow parents to pick up students from the football field.
Today are the last home games for CJHS baseball and softball. If you haven't been able to come and watch - today is your last chance to see us on the home field! Go Redbirds!

This is a message from Frankfort CUSD #168: A little after 8 am, West Frankfort Police were called to an apartment in the neighborhood around Denning Elementary School regarding a resident making threatening comments about having a weapon. At that point, the school was out on a soft lockdown status. The incident was resolved shortly before 8:30 and the school is going back to regular status. No students were in harms way during the incident and the school maintained their regulations programming. We take the safety of all of our students and staff as our highest priority and communicate out as soon as we can to preserve the safety of all. We will proceed with our regular day as we prepare for the weekend. We thank everyone for their concern when incidents like this happen in our community. The West Frankfort Police Department may have further information to release at a later time.
This week's Papa John's Athletes of the Week for CJHS are Layton Kohzadi for baseball and Braylin Blackburn for softball. Congratulations to some awesome Redbirds!
